Church History
The Beebe Church is part of the Church of The Nazarene, a worldwide organization with international headquarters in Kansas City, Missouri.

The Church of The Nazarene traces its origins to the teachings of John Wesley and the holiness movement that sprang up in the 1830's.  The movement gained a growing following, but by the end of the 19th century, had broken into many different factions.  Early church leaders, led by Phineas F. Bresee, a Methodist Episcopal Church minister from California, sought to bring unity back to the holiness movement.  Bresee, along with Joseph Widney, a church laymen and former President of the University of Southern California, founded the Church of the Nazarene in Los Angeles, California, in 1895.  Over the next decade, this newly formed body merged several times with other holiness bodies from Nova Scotia to the southern United States. In 1908, the organization we now know as the Church of the Nazarene was officially founded in Pilot Point, Texas.  Several more mergers with other holiness bodies followed in subsequent years.  By 1915,  the Nazarene Church and the Wesleyan Church emerged as the new home of the previously fractionalized holiness movement.

Today, the worldwide Church Of The Nazarene has 1.6 million members in over 18,000 churches, and supports 56 educational institutions around the globe.  Known worldwide for it expansive missions work, the Nazarene Church currently reaches 151 different world areas/geographic regions.

The local Beebe Church traces its history to the early 20th century, actually formed just before the "official" founding of the denomination.  The original church was located in the Stoney Point area.  When the railroad came through what is now Beebe, "town" moved from Stoney Point a few miles east to be in close proximity to the railroad.  The church moved with this new development, and was located just off Main Street in downtown Beebe for most of the 20th century.  Being landlocked and needing room to expand and build new facilities, the church officially relocated in 1995 to its present sight.

A new worship center was recently completed in late 2007.  The church is located on what  for many years was known as the Holiness Campground.  Area wide camp meetings were held on this sight for 100 years (1893-1993).
